Tender: Swindon Borough Council: Restoration of landfill site

The Council intends, through a competitive tender, to award the restoration and remediation of a closed landfill site within the Borough. The works are likely to include the preparation of the site, the construction of landfill gas and leachate control systems, the importation of restoration material and possible electricity generation from landfill gas.

It is planned that a contract shall commence in September 2008 for a period of approximately three years.

Interested parties are invited to contact the Council at the address below to register their interest and request a pre-qualification questionnaire. The Council intends to issue tender documents in July 2008.

The closing date for expressions of interest is: 30 May 2008.
