A couple living on the Island of Unst have built a home powered entirely by the wind and sun.
The three bedroom timber-framed house cost around £210,000 and was built by Michael and Dorothy Rea in the Shetland Islands.
Their house has become quite famous, along with their website, which was the fourth most popular site searched on Google, reports the Guardian.
This ground-breaking home is even being used by the Scottish Executive as a template for new sustainable housebuilding rules.
The Rea’s told the Guardian, “If we can do this here, anyone can do it anywhere.”
