Kier: less Government spending will badly hit industry

By Daniel Franklin

Kier has warned that less Government spending will badly hit the industry.

Government finances have decreased as of late, resulting in an economic slowdown.

John Dodds, chief executive of Kier told the Times, “Construction ultimately cannot avoid, in my opinion, some sort of slowdown. The Government will withdraw money and will not be available as it was.”

Social housing will badly be affected, but the public sector for new schools, hospitals and roads could also be hit by the lack of funds, reports the Times.
