HBF: thousands of builders set to lose jobs

Tens of thousands of builders are set to lose their jobs as the credit crisis continues.

The warning comes from the Home Builder’s Federation as building firms continue to cut jobs.

HBF Chairman Stewart Baseley, told the Daily Mail: “There isn’t a builder in the land who isn’t considering overheads and job losses.”

Builders are becoming increasingly wary, as it was announced yesterday Wolsely reported a 30% fall in profits, putting 15,000 British jobs in jeopardy, reports the Mail.
