Planned building projects in Scotland, including the new Forth road bridge, could be under threat.
First Minister Alex Salmond was accused of breaking his election promises and putting building projects in jeopardy.
The Scottish Futures Trust programme had been set up, and was set to save £150 million a year by securing cheaper investment rates.
However critics have denounced the plans, citing them as full of holes, reports the Scotsman.
The Forth Bridge is seen as an economic lifeline to Scotland, and any delay could severely disrupt the country’s commerce.
