A site manager fired for posting a prank video on YouTube has posted a thank-you to Contract Journal in his quest to regain employment.

James Doble, 36 of Dover, lost his job with Jenner Contractors when his boss was tipped off about the videos that show an excavator breaking piping materials.

Since losing his £35,000 job, Mr Doble has been busy cultivating a cult following on the video-sharing website by posting new clips.

In his latest, a thank-you to CJ, Mr Doble said he had been approached by people on the street sympathetic to his plight.

In his video to CJ he says: “Thank you to CJ for bringing the story to the paper and to the website. It has created a lot of interest.

“Obviously a lot of people are talking about it and a lot of people have talked to me about it in the street and voiced their opinion about it.

“With a bit of luck I might get a job out of this. There is only so much Jeremy Kyle someone can watch in a day.”
