Worthing crane deaths case adjourned

Two crane companies charged over the death of two men in a crane collapse in Worthing in 2005 have had their court case adjourned.

WD Bennett's Plant & Services and Eurolift (Tower Cranes) were charged with health and safety offences after a 30m crane fell at a site near Durrington High School on 11 February 2005.

Gary Miles, 37, of Crowthorne, and Steven Boatman, 45, of Reading, were both killed in the accident.

The firms are scheduled to appear before Worthing Magistrate's Court on June 27 after the first hearing was adjourned last week.
