Donald Trump has rejected warnings from his own environmental experts that a £1bn golf resort he plans to build on the coastline north of Aberdeen will damage a legally-protected stretch of dunes, according to the Guardian.
Trump is expected to arrive in the UK today to give evidence in person to a month-long inquiry into the development.
The resort, if built, will offer 950 timeshare flats, a 450-bed hotel and 500 homes.
His proposals were rejected by the local council last year but have the backing of Scotland's first minister Alex Salmond.
