Capita Symonds buys Pearce Buckle

By John Leitch

Capita Symonds has bought Pearce Buckle, an M&E consultancy but the price has been kept under wraps.

Pearce Buckle is a player in the custodial sector. It has alliance with the HM Prison Service Constructor Framework Agreement. The group is also active in healthcare and works with several NHS Trusts.

With 40 staff based in Sheffield, it will in future be known as Capita Pearce Buckle.

Formed in 2000, Pearce Buckle was subject to a management buy-out in 2002.

For Capita Symonds, this is the third acquisition in the past four months, having already snapped up:

  • Lovejoy - a planning consultancy bought in March
  • NRM Bobrowski - a civil and structural engineering consultancy acquired in April.
