Best Places Awards 2008: winners announced

The winners of the Contract Journal Best Places to Work in Construction Awards 2008 have been announced.

The awards, now in their fourth year, and supported by ConstructionSkills and Hays Recruitment, were held at Lord's Cricket Ground's Nursery Pavillion. Nearly 350 guests attended.

The winners were as follows:

• Winner: Mount Anvil

Building contractor with 11-50 staff

• Winner: WJ Butcher (Romford)

Civil engineering contractor

• Winner: Hewlett Civil Engineering
