Applications are invited from persons or firms wishing to be selected by Suffolk Coastal District Council and J S Bloor (Sudbury) Limited as tenderers for the provision of leisure facilities at Felixstowe South Seafront, Felixstowe, Suffolk.

Project Summary

Provision of leisure facilities including play equipment, landscaping, public car parks and toilet block.

Estimated works value: £1,800,000

Anticipated programme:

1. Tenders to be invited: 11th July 2008
2. Contract award: 12th September 2008
3. Commencement/completion of works: 29th September 2008/April 2009

Those wishing to be included in the list of tenderers must apply in writing by the 27th June 2008 to Suffolk Coastal District Council and J S Bloor (Sudbury) Limited at the address given below giving the following information:

(a) Applicant’s full name, address and trading status.
(b) General experience including details of at least three projects involving similar work.
(c) Full details of any proposed major sub-contractor.
(d) The names and addresses of at least two clients of whom work of a similar nature has been undertaken and who may reliably be approached for a prompt response to requests for references (including references for major sub-contractor, if appropriate.
(e) Non-limited applicant to provide full accounts for the last three years.
(f) Limited company to provide:
(1) details of registered office
(2) registration number
(3) parent company name and registration number
(4) full (not abbreviated) copies of Company Accounts for the last three years
(g) Names and addresses of the banker from where a reference may be obtained, together with a letter of authorisation to that bank.
(h) Health and Safety Record.

Failure to provide all the information sought and/or subsequent failure of references to respond promptly will make the process of an application impossible.

Expressions of interest will be evaluated utilising a weighted scoring criteria which is available upon request and tenders will be sold and contracts let on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender.
