Norwest Holst lands £26m Stockport college project

Norwest Holst has done its homework and emerged as preferred bidder for a £26m college deal in the Greater Manchester area.

The job is to redevelop the ageing Aquinas Sixth Form College in Stockport with around 14,500m2 of new-build facilities, plus a new sports field and car park.

Work on site starts within weeks, with the new college due to open in September 2010.

Also pitching for the deal were HBG, Laing O'Rourke and ISG.
