A contractor has been killed while working on the upgrade of the West Coast Main Line in Warwickshire.
The man, employed by Leda Rail, died on Saturday while carrying out track work just south of Rugby railway station.
Network Rail has not released any details of the accident but said it was investigating.
The rail operator is carrying out massive engineering work at Rugby as part of a major upgrade of the West Coast Main Line.
It was slapped with a £14m fine in February after work, mainly in Rugby, over ran by four days during the new year period, causing massive disruptions to passengers.
