Anti-puncture tyre filling specialist Zeus has unveiled a new product called Triofill, which has a smaller environmental footprint that its two-part offering, and can be recycled.
The three-part filling is injected into the tyre and the solution cured to give ride characteristics similar to those of an air-filled tyre, but without the potential of a flat or blowout - particularly important on high-reach items such as self-propelled access equipment and telehandlers.
Filling a single, medium-sized tyre costs around £2,750. However, even on less safety critical applications, the company says the system removes the downtime and cost associated with a puncture, and ensures maximum tyre life.
The cured filling can be removed from the demounted tyre without damage to the casing and Zeus runs a recycling service for its compounds.
