Gordon Ramsay has Tube Lines Team for Breakfast

Tube Lines’ Emergency Response Unit (ERU) stars in Gordon Ramsay’s F-Word next week.

In the Channel 4 show Ramsay tries his hand at being a Tube Lines maintenance worker, working alongside the ERU in a mock maintenance operation. The TV chef then attempts to wean the team off their love of greasy fry-ups by showing them how to cook a healthy breakfast.

ERU team member and keen cook Joe Walsh said: “Taking Gordon Ramsay on a mock operation with us was lots of fun. He got stuck right in, helping us carry heavy equipment down to the platform and carrying out work on a train. He’s very fit but he’d worked up a sweat by the end of it all. And the healthy breakfast he’d prepared for us went down a treat too.”

The F-Word airs on  Tuesday July 22 at 9pm on Channel 4.

The ERU is the Tube’s dedicated safety and rescue team. The team, which is run by Tube Lines, was at the forefront of rescue operations immediately after the July 7 bombings in 2005.
