A favourite is emerging for a £43m scheme in Essex. Insiders are putting their money on Norwest Holst to carry off the Havering Sixth Form College deal in Hornchurch.
It is thought the firm is in a strong position to land the first stage of the two-stage tender project, ahead of rivals Mansell, Wates and William Verry.
Work on site is expected to kick off later this year and take at least two years to complete. The design-and-build job entails both new build and refurb work at the Wingletye Lane campus.
