Taylor Woodrow has pleaded guilty to charges related to the death of a man working on the £67m Welsh Assembly.

John Walsh, 53, of Bristol, was filling a cavity wall in the new debating chamber in March 2004 when the wall collapsed, causing him to fall from a ladder.

He was employed by subcontractor Fersons Construction at the time of the accident.

Taylor Woodrow pleaded guilty to breaching health and safety laws in the Cardiff Magistrate’s Court.

The case has been adjourned to 15 August.
