Kier wins £100m power station contract

Kier Construction, the civil engineering operation within the Kier Group, has been awarded a £100m contract with EDF Energy.
The project is a 1300MW combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power station at West Burton, Nottinghamshire.

Work to prepare the infrastructure is due to start immediately. The completion date for the project is October 2010.

The company has delivered of civils works packages on 12 major UK power stations in recent years.
