Birse, Mansell, Morgan Est chase 2x £10m Tube station deals

Marble Arch and Hyde Park Corner Tube stations are up for a £20m facelift. Both stations are to be upgraded.

Each contract is worth £10m. Bids are due in by early September. Sources say Birse Metro, Mansell, Morgan Est and YJL are to join the fray.

The contract will see both stations modernised with new or refurbished wall, floor and ceiling finishes, enhanced lighting and refurbished ticket offices.

The two stations were expected to be let under the Vendor Capital Programme but LUL has decided to fast track both schemes. A preferred bidder is expected to be chosen by November.
