More DPF uncertainty for London

The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) has suggested truck-mounted access platforms may be exempt from the Greater London Authority's (GLA) impending requirement for the fitting of diesel particulate filters (DPF) in plant.

According to IPAF, plant that is already exempt from the London Low Emission Zone (LEZ) may also be exempt from the GLA's new regulations. IPAF has already ascertained that truck-mounted access platforms are already exempt from the LEZ, and is seeking to obtain confirmation from the GLA that it will continue this approach.

Self-propelled machines over 37kW and van-mounted access platforms will still have to comply with the new GLA requirement.
