Home Information Packs are adding to the pain of house price falls and should be scrapped, estate agents and surveyors have claimed.

The National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) said the packs were the 'wong answer' to simplifying the house-buying process, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Home Information Packs have been consistently criticised for addig an extra layer of bureaucracy to the process of buying a home, since they were launched more than a year ago.
