The Scottish commercial property sector is still holding its own with no 'transactional evidence' of a slump in the sector, chartered surveyors claim.
Roy Hudghton, a partner at DM Hall and head of the Valuation Faculty board of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in Scotland told the Scotsman that deals were still being done and the sector was stronger than reported.
"In the day-to-day market in which we operate, banks are still lending on commercial property deals. It is not like the residential sector, where there are clear problems which have been well documented," he said.
