Auger Torque has added a mini trenching attachment its range.
The 'spinning wheel' based trencher is said to be three times faster than chain and tooth systems (also offered by Auger Torque) and deposits spoil to one side of the trench. It cuts trenches between 50mm and 100mm-wide and up to 300mm-deep for installing irrigation pipes and low-voltage cables.
Initial units fit skid steers and track loaders, while excavator-mount models will be available shortly.
The firm has doubled the size of its factory in Cheltenham, where it manufactures augers to suit carriers from 750kg to 45t, with diameters from 100mm to 2m, and capable of boring to 15m.
