Plans by JCB to set up a £22m academy in a Grade II listed building in Staffordshire will not be subject to a public inquiry.
The digger firm want to open the school at its Rocester headquarters, but to do so will have to convert historic Tutbury Mill.
According to the BBC, the scheme has been examined by the Government Office of the West Midlands and will now continue.
JCB hopes the school will take 540 students and specialise in manufacturing, engineering and commerce.
The plans have been backed by Staffordshire County Council.
