Network Rail expands executive board

By Roxanne Millar

Network Rail has doubled the size of its executive board with the appointment of three new directors.

The trio will give the board a balance of six executive and eight non-executive directors and could be in line for the company’s controversial bonus scheme.

New to the board are operations and customer service director Robin Gisby, infrastructure investment director Simon Kirby and planning and regulation director Paul Plummer.

According to the Daily Mail, the appointments coincide with a decision by the company’s 101 members to force Network Rail to review its corporate governance.
