UK's biggest brick manufacturer Ibstock to close two factories

The UK's biggest brick manufacturer Ibstock is to close two factories and mothball a third.

Ibstock's Roughdales plant in Merseyside and Funton in Kent are scheduled for closure, while Ellistown in Leicestershire will be shelved.

The company blamed the downturn in the housebuilding market.
