ADP Group adds lightweight vacuum excavator

Specialist contractor and equipment distributor ADP Group has introduced the HDD650, a lightweight vacuum excavator that can be towed by a Land Rover or mounted on a 3.5t truck.

It has 0.5bar of vacuum pull with 18m³/min of airflow, and a 4,000psi water jet for loosening and conveying spoil. Typical extraction hoses are 75mm or 100mm in diameter and 30m long, with the spoil captured in a 1m3 rear-hinged tipping tank.

A 26kW donkey engine and a 1m³ water storage tank allow standalone operation.

Also new is the Air-Spader 3000, an 84m³/min hand-held excavation tool weighing 6kg and fed by air at 100psi.

The Air-Spader can be used to break-up soil, while leaving non-porous materials such as cables and pipes undamaged.
