Supermarket giant Asda is taking responsibility for housing projects on two of its developments, after housebuilders quit the projects.
The schemes, in New Barnet and Salisbury, are both mixed-use, where a supermarket is to be built alongside housing.
But after housebuilders walked off the projects, Asda is now managing the housing elements, to ensure the schemes go ahead.
Linden Homes is the housebuilder that abandoned the New Barnet job, according to Property Week.
Meanwhile, Asda is developing its first fully mixed-use scheme, in Coalville, Leicestershire. The £30m development will include a supermarket, cafes, and public space.
