Queen calls in energy-saving specialist to keep swimming pool warm

The Queen has drafted in a German energy-saving specialist in a bid to keep her swimming pool warm.

Building products manufacturer Stiebel Eltron has been brought into Buckingham Palace to stop heat escaping from the royal indoor pool.

A spokesperson for the firm said: "The Queen has been losing heat in the swimming pool room, so they're going to try and capture the heat that has been rising to the ceiling and been lost.

"They're working with Buckingham Palace to look at how to do that."

Stiebel Eltron is also working with top Scottish golfer Sandy Lyle to make his home more energy efficient.
