Geith Wales factory to close

Doosan Infracore has announced that its bucket and quick hitch manufacturing subsidiary Geith will consolidate all European manufacturing operations at the facility in Slane, Ireland. 

As a result Geith’s manufacturing facility in Tredegar, Wales, will be closed by the end of the year with the loss of 47 jobs. 

Doosan blames the decision to close it on the decline of the construction equipment industry in Western Europe and North America.
