Shepherd chief exec Vaughan Burnand to step down

Shepherd Construction chief executive Vaughan Burnand is to step down from his post.

Burnand has held the role since 2000, and has been with the company since 1992.

Shepherd said Burnand left with its "best wishes for the future".

Allan McDougall, currently chief executive of Shepherd Group subsidiary SES, has become the divisional chief executive of the Construction & Engineering division.

The company said that McDougall's 'primary focus' would be construction.
