A former women’s rugby star has traded her nail file for a saw file to launch a renovation business that promises to clean up after a hard day’s work.
Cardiff woman Philippa Tuttiett, 24, has launched a new building firm run entirely by women and known by the moniker FBI – Female Building and Interiors.
The former WRU player of the year in 2007, promises a proper mop and vacuum job at the end of the day instead of wolf whistles or builder’s bum.
She told Wales on Sunday: “I think women do go that little bit further with a job.
“There’s a little bit of extra consideration and we take a great pride in cleanliness and communication.
“We believe in treating every project as it if were a job in our own home, completing it to a standard we would personally approve.
“For example, we protect all furniture and clean up properly. We all carry vacuum cleaners, sweeping brushes, mops and all cleaning products.
“We aim to ensure the house is left every evening in the same clean state it was when we arrived.”
Tuttiett, or "Bobette the builder", got her start several years ago from her builder dad Robert.
