Taylor Wimpey announces new finance director

Taylor Wimpey has announced that Christopher Rickard is to replace Peter Johnson as its new finance director.

Rickard was previously finance director at technology company Whatman Group.

Taylor Wimpey chief executive Peter Redfern said: “I'm extremely pleased that we have secured a finance director of Chris' calibre to join our executive team.

"As an experienced finance director with relevant industrial experience, Chris will add strongly to the operational effectiveness of the company and the overall development of our business."

Johnson announced announced in July that he would leave the post.
