The government will pour £93m into tackling current and future skills shortages in sectors including housing and facilities management.
Under a new three-year deal agreed with employers, £69m will be delivered to up-skill workers in property, housing, facilities management and cleaning sectors.
The rest will go to workers in fashion and textiles.
The government said the funding aimed to allow employers to improve the qualifications of their workers, offer more apprentices and train new recruits.
Skills minister Lord Young said: “We’ve really listened to employers and taken action to remove barriers to training.
“This latest agreement will ensure employers have access to flexible, world-class training tailored to the specific needs of their business, delivered when and where they need it.”
