More than 150 jobs are at risk at Northamptonshire construction firm Mainland Construction Group after it went into administration.
Administrator Bridge Business Recovery said it would attempt to sell the company's plant arm, Mainland Plant Hire, as a going concern.
But its construction and civil engineering divisions are set to close.
Mainland confirmed that it was in administration but declined to comment further.
Bridge Business Recovery partner Andrew Duncan said: "Although we have only just been appointed administrators, considerable interest has already been shown in its plant hire division, which continues to trade strongly, and we expect further interest as we go about identifying a suitable buyer for this division of the company."
