Balfour Beatty has pulled off an audacious coup by recruiting the Heathrow Terminal 5 mastermind Andrew Wolstenholme from BAA.
Wolstenholme will join Balfour Beatty in February as head of its professional and technical services division, Balfour Beatty Management.
Wolstenholme, as capital projects director at BAA, was one of the driving forces behind the £4.3bn Terminal 5 construction project. He spent more than 10 years at BAA in total.
He will work alongside Balfour Beatty Management's current managing director David James, before taking over the business after a transition period. James will remain with the business.
Ian Tyler, chief executive of Balfour Beatty, said: “I am delighted that Andrew is joining us, as we continue to develop our major projects capability and upstream professional services across the group.”
