Kier has revealed that it has won in excess of £110m worth of construction work on the first phase of Kent County Council's £1.8bn BSF programme.
Kier will build five schools as part of the deal.
The news follows an announcement yesterday that Kent County Council, Building Schools for the Future Investments, and Land Securities Trillium/Northgate have signed a contract to begin the £600m first phase of the programme, which will see the construction of refurbishment or reconstruction of 10 schools.
Chief executive of Kier Group, John Dodds, said: "Having been awarded over £750m of contracts in the education sector in the last two years alone, Kier can bring a high degree of innovation, value engineering and expertise in school building to this scheme."
