UK workers still flocking to Dubai

The flow of UK construction professionals to Dubai shows no sign of slowing despite recent wobbles in the Emirate's property market.

Recruitment experts said demand for white collar management was as high as ever.

Hays recruitment managing director Tim Cook said project managers and surveyors were in particular demand. He said: "They like the UK qualifications and it's not yet showing a slowdown."

Maxim Recruitment director Steve Thomas said: "We're seeing firms in the UK send their spare UK employees over there. Most companies out there have more work than they necessarily need and are still searching for the best candidates."
