Aberdeen-based house builder Stewart Milne Group will axe another 44 staff; just months after announcing 300 employees would go from across the UK.
The company said the 44 jobs would be lost after a 30-day consultation period and that another 73 jobs are under threat.
Most jobs lost will be in the group’s house building division, but there will be cuts to all divisions.
A spokesman for the group said it had not yet been decided at which locations jobs would be lost.
“The firm made the decision because of the housing market – sales have basically gone right down and it is a quiet time of the year,” the spokesman said.
In July, Stewart Milne Group announced it could cut 20% of its workforce – equating to about 300 staff.
