Home hidden in a barn faces demolition

By Roxanne Millar

A home built illegally inside a barn to avoid planning rules faces demolition following its discovery.

Planning officers were tipped off about the two-storey stone house in Whatstandwell in Derbyshire about a year ago when they were anonymously sent a map.

They found the home concealed in the shed behind a shield of corrugated iron and wood.

The owner has been told to remove the house by Monday, reported the BBC.

It is not known when the house was built.
