Oxford Street has been closed by police after a surveyor deemed a building undergoing renovation work as unsafe.
Police shut the busy London street at about 1.15pm after the Westminster City official inspected the building at 315-319 Oxford Street.
The road has been closed between Bond Street and Holles Street.
Client for the renovation project is insurance firm Legal & General, according to Property Week. The contractor is not known at this stage.
Police said the street remained closed on Monday evening.
