Plans for a £147m dualling of a 15km stretch of the A11 have been published by the Highways Agency.
Details of the A11 Fiveways to Thetford Improvement Scheme are on public exhibition in the area. Construction work on the scheme is due to start in the autumn of 2010 if it passes the planning process.
Work involves dualling the last single carriageway section of the road between Fiveways Roundabout at Barton Mills near Mildenhall, and the roundabout at the southern end of the Thetford Bypass.
The scheme also includes a bypass around the village of Elvedon.
