Balfour Beatty has bought Colledge Trundle and Hall (CTH) in a move that will allow its Balfour WorkPlace division to expand its position in the “more complex market of energy management”.
Balfour paid £3m for CTH which specialises in the design and installation of automatic energy control systems for buildings.
WorkPlace is the recently revamped name for the division previously known as Haden Building Management
CTH operates in several markets that are complementary to Balfour’s WorkPlace core operations. Customers include DEFRA, Sainsbury's and the
Balfour Beatty WorkPlace was re-branded last month to reflect its position as a total facilities management provider.
Balfour paid £33m for Covion 13 months ago. It boosted Balfour’s firepower in the facilities infrastructure services sector.
