Balfour, McAlpine and B+K chase £40m Edinburgh commercial work

Balfour Beatty, Sir Robert McAlpine and Bowmer & Kirkland are in the queue for a £40m commercial sector deal in the heart of Edinburgh.

Work for developer Stockland Halladale on the St Andrews Square project is due to begin next March, for completion in March 2011.

The proposed development includes around 9,200m² of office space, 6,500m² of retail space, a small number of penthouse apartments, plus an underground car park.
