Per Aarsleff, the foundation piling specialist, has reported a pre-tax profit of £1.4m on a turnover of £14m.
The group’s latest financial figures cover the 12 months to 30 September 2008.
In the previous period, Per Aarsleff’s turnover of £13m generated a profit of £1.7m.
The directors stated that the company is “well placed” to live with the current trading conditions.
As well as its civil engineering activities, Per Aarsleff is also active in the manufacture and sale of precast concrete piles.
The number of employees rose to 96, up by six, and the group’s bill for wages and salaries was slightly higher at £3.1m.
The latest results avoid stating how much the highest-paid director received.
