G Middleton in administration; 48 jobs lost

Cumbria-based building and joinery firm G Middleton has collapsed into administration with the loss of 48 jobs.

The thirty-year-old company, which has an office in Appleby, has an annual turnover of £2.5m.

Paul Flint, associate partner at administrator KPMG commented: "We have been speaking with various parties with regards to options for the business but at this stage it's not something we can continue to trade as administrators."
