HSS Hire is to offer free training course for disadvantaged young people in the London borough of Tower Hamlets.
The hirer will deliver the training to NEET youngsters (not in education, employment or training) at the East End training centre of the charity City Gateway.
Each participant will undertake a four-week training course and a six-week placement in one of the hirer’s 43 London branches, including its 11 supercentres which have extended opening hours.
Chris Davies, CEO of HSS said: “The skills they learn will help equip them for the world of work and, if they do well during the placement, they have every chance of being offered a job and a place on a modern apprenticeship scheme with us.
“We’re hoping this will provide us with our London based branch managers, fitters, drivers, hire consultants and sales people of the future.”
