MEPC unveils £160m Cardiff scheme

Developer MEPC has unveiled plans for a new £160m phase of the Callaghan Square office complex in Cardiff.

The proposal will create 1100 construction jobs as the brownfield site is turned into another 500,000ft² of offices on the south side of the scheme.

A request for outline planning permission has now been submitted to Cardiff Council and MEPC will phase the construction over seven years if permission is granted.

An MEPC spokesman said: “This is the first stage of the planning process and there will be more detailed applications on individual buildings.”
