£2.9bn ProCure21 Plus framework to be showcased at industry day

The new £2.9bn NHS ProCure21 framework is to be showcased at a construction industry day in London on February 24th.

ProCure21 officials will use the industry day as a forum to discuss how the new framework, known as ProCure21 Plus, should operate and how it can improve on the current framework.

The new framework contract will be advertised in June. It will replace the existing ProCure 21 framework, which ends in September 2010.

The industry day is part of a major 60 day consultation exercise with contractors, NHS Trusts, local authority and central government departments, launched this month.

Construction industry interest is expected to be high, attracting new contenders keen to find a safe haven in the current economic maelstrom.

The new framework could see its workload double under plans to allow all public sector clients to use the framework to deliver schemes such as leisure centres, schools and social housing, that can be located on the same site as health facilities.

More information on the construction industry day can be found on the ProCure21 website.
