£26m National Construction College East gets final go-ahead

The National Construction College East has finally received full planning permission for a £26m redevelopment.

The Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk accepted the application for the site in Bircham Newton on 14 January.

Main contractor Morgan Ashurst is expected to start work in the summer. It is set for completion in February 2011.

The College will get new learner facilities including accommodation blocks with en-suite bedrooms, a new restaurant and training support services, and sports centre and additional amenities including a shop to be shared with the public.
